The Leys School, Cambridge: Resurfacing of outdoor two-lane cricket area for Sports Safe UK using Playrite PPJ Cricket surfacing – December 2016

Project Description

The final install for 2016 was the resurfacing of a two lane cricket area at The Leys School in Cambridge.  The prestigious Cambridge school required the surface to be replaced after it had become worn after heavy use.  The old surface was uplifted with a specialist floor stripper and the concrete base was prepared with a floor grinder in order to ensure it was fully prepared for the new surface.

The new system installed Playrite’s PPJ cricket surface on a Playrite bounce regulator and both surfaces are fully directed adhered in order to give a strong resilient surface.  The installation was carried out on behalf of Sport Safe UK.

The images show the adhesive being applied to stick the PPJ surface to the bounce regulator and the completed surface.
